Bonnie Bird Awards

In an effort to respond to the ever changing needs and ideas in the choreographic industry the Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund occasionally allocates smaller awards to projects which have come to its notice and are within its mission. As an example of this, the BBCF in 2013 contributed £2,000 to the Jerwood Choreographic Research Project. The two projects that the Fund has helped to support through this are:

• Alexander Whitely‘s Jerwood Choreographic Research Project, which explores how motion capture technology can react to the sensitive subtlety of choreography.
• Kate McGrath and Louise Blackwell’s (FUEL) Jerwood Choreographic Research Project, which explores the feasibility of an online space for sharing choreographic practice between members of the public and artists.

The Fund is not currently accepting applications outside of the existing awards.
