THE CHOREOGRAPHIC DEVELOPMENT AWARDS

These awards are open to ALL professional artists working choreographically who are based in the UK. Please note that current BA/MA/PhD students or artists/companies with NPO status are not eligible to apply.

Whilst the awarding panel will be mindful of all four criteria when reviewing applications for these awards, the primary considerations for assessing these awards will be:


These awards have also been created to support a bespoke programme of activities, as identified by the successful artists. Funding is provided to support their overall creative development, rather than the production of a completed new work.

There is no prescribed format; each award includes an agreed programme of activities which may include:


The award period will be negotiated with the successful applicant but should be completed within two years of the announcement of the award.


THE AWARDEE RECEIVES


Sharing of research

The awardees are required to submit a short report either in writing (1500 words) or verbally in the form of a conversation with Trustees and Advisors of the Fund by September 2020. We are interested to hear how the award (plus any support or advice received from the Fund's Trustees and Advisors) has been useful in the development and sustainability of the awardee's artistic trajectory.
